Ray is the founder of YesCosta.com and leads the company with a clear philosophy: buying property in Spain should be transparent, structured and focused on long-term value rather than sales pressure.
Based on the Costa Blanca, Ray works closely with international buyers from across Europe, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom. Whether clients are searching for a holiday home, investment property or permanent residence, every purchase journey begins with understanding their objectives, budget and long-term plans.
Ray brings a unique combination of legal, financial and real estate expertise to the Spanish property market. He completed the HBO Jurist programme in the Netherlands and later graduated in Utrecht from the postgraduate HBO+ programme for WSNP administrators. In addition, he completed the Dutch VBO Real Estate Agent and Valuer programme. Combined with his extensive background in accountancy and business advisory services, this multidisciplinary expertise enables him to guide clients with both analytical precision and practical insight.
Before relocating to Spain and founding YesCosta.com, Ray gained extensive professional experience in the Netherlands. He worked for the Dutch Tax Administration and a law firm, providing him with valuable insight into taxation, legal matters and regulatory frameworks. In addition, he successfully operated his own accountancy and advisory firm for more than 13 years, assisting entrepreneurs with financial, legal and strategic matters.
Having grown up in a family construction business, Ray developed an early understanding of building quality, craftsmanship and the practical aspects of real estate. This background enables him to look beyond attractive photographs and assess properties not only for their appearance, but also for their structural quality, usability and long-term potential.
