This is a home for those who enjoy peace and quiet, while still being able to walk to restaurants, shops and everything you need for everyday life.

The apartment is located in a quiet, established area of Villamartín, with services and restaurants open throughout the year. Its south-facing position means sunshine all day, with plenty of space to enjoy it – both on the balcony and on the large private roof terrace.

One detail the owners particularly appreciate is that the staircase to the roof terrace is inside the apartment. This makes the terrace feel like a natural extension of the home. You can easily move between indoors and outdoors while still staying connected with family or friends inside.

The building is constructed on a slope, giving the apartment an unusual and practical position. From the street it is on the top floor, while from the parking area you enter at ground level.

The property has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and is sold furnished. It also has central air conditioning.

A pool area that really stands out

The communal pool area is spacious, green and beautifully maintained, with three swimming pools and a jacuzzi. The largest pool is 25 metres long – perfect whether you actually want to swim a few lengths or simply spend a lazy day by the pool.

Restaurants and everyday life within walking distance

One of the great advantages of this location is that you don't need to take the car every time you want to go out for dinner. The closest centre is La Fuente, a popular meeting point with a wide choice of restaurants, bars and services. La Rioja Center is almost as close, giving you even more places to choose from.

I asked the owners which restaurants they personally like to visit, and their answer started with: “Oh… there are so many good ones!” 

For something quick and casual, they like Stay Sod and La Piazza. For a slightly more special dinner, they recommend Stonegrill and the Italian restaurant Dolce Vita.

Villamartín – close to both golf and the sea

Villamartín is a popular part of Orihuela Costa, not least because it is an easy place to enjoy all year round. Restaurants, shops and services are close by, while the coast and beaches are only a short drive away.

The nearest beach is La Zenia, one of the area's popular sandy beaches. Zenia Boulevard, one of Spain's largest shopping centres with a wide selection of shops, restaurants and entertainment, is also close by. It takes around five minutes by car, and if you enjoy walking, you can easily get there on foot! Golfers are particularly well placed here too – the apartment sits almost between three well-known courses: Villamartín Golf, Campoamor Golf and Las Ramblas Golf.

And perhaps that combination describes the location best. Peace, sunshine and the pool at home, restaurants within walking distance, and both the beach and three golf courses close by.
